World Book Day

A cast of colourful characters arrived at school on Thursday 3rd March to celebrate World Book Day 2016! We had wizards, witches, all kinds of animals and even the scary Miss Trunchbull! Each of the children chose two workshops which were based on a book or series or author's work. Some went to Percy the Park keeper and planted flowers in the tyres and made mazes out of lego. Others painted magical trees at the Magic Faraway Tree workshop. Children who chose the Eric Carle workshop found out how the author created his collage pictures and made their own. In the Thirteen Storey Treehouse workshop, children designed their own storeys for their treehouse, whilst those who went to the Green Ship took part in shipbuilding on a grand scale! Children who went to the Peter Rabbit workshop made models of the garden from which he stole the carrots and decorated Peter Rabbit cookies!
