Visit from French students
We said, "Bonjour!" to a group of students from France on an exchange trip to Swavesey Village College this afternoon! The students spent the afternoon with us, teaching our children some French rhymes and stories. The children had to listen very carefully to learn the words to the rhyme in French: they learnt actions too and then performed the rhyme to the whole school in the hall. We knew that the children had understood what the rhyme was about because one of the group explained the story after each performance. After all the acting, our children took their new French friends outside and taught them some English playground games - What's the time Mr Wolf?, Duck, duck, goose, and Stuck in the mud. At the end of the day we said, "Au revoir" and "Merci beaucoup!"
