Trip to Fen Drayton Lakes Reserve
After a week of rain, we woke to a dry day on 14th June for our trip to the Fen Drayton Lakes Reserve. Everyone walked down to the Lakes together and then split up for their activities. Maple class went to investigate the creatures who lived in the water, whilst Ash class worked on identifying the different plants which grew near the water. Oak class carried out a worm survey and Willow class studied minibeasts in their habitats. The children swapped activities before lunch and then everyone gathered at field near the car park for their picnic. In the afternoon, there was time for one more activity before we all walked back to school, tired and happy!
