Film Nights

How it Works


  • The film chosen, often via Facebook so follow Fen Drayton PTA to have a voice!
  • Approximately 1 week before envelopes are sent home with your child / children. Film Nights cost £3.00 per child up to maximum of £6.00 for families with more than 2 children.
  • On the day - PTA helpers arrive a few minutes before the end of school and set up the chairs in the hall, set up the film and prepare the snacks and drinks.
  • Children are invited into the hall at the end of the school day, some like to bring a soft toy to cuddle
  • The film is started and the children are served popcorn
  • Approximately halfway through the film the children are served with a hot dog and a drink (vegetarian options are available)
  • At the end of the film the children are sent to collect bags and coats by class and wait in the hall for collection (prompt collection is appreciated)
  • PTA helpers clear the hall and pack away.

How You Can Help


The PTA exists to raise funds to pay for extracurricular activities to enrich the school experience of all our children.

If you can spare a couple of hours after school to help with Film Nights it would be a great help. You are mostly there to set up, serve food, clear up and keep children calm so that everyone can enjoy the film. Toilet visits need to be monitored to ensure all children return!

If you think you can help at a film night let a PTA member know when the envelopes are sent out next, you do not have to be a member of the PTA to help!
