In Dormice class, there is a two year topic cycle. The children in Reception follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework, whilst the children in Year 1 work from the Key Stage 1 section of the National Curriculum.
Rabbits class has a single year topic cycle, as all the children are in Year 2. The topics are carefully planned to build on the children's learning in Year 1 and allow for full coverage of the National Curriculum by the end of Key Stage 1.
Both Foxes and Badgers, our Key Stage 2 classes, follow a 2 year topic cycle so that they can ensure full coverage of the National Curriculum.
This year (2025-26) we are following Cycle A.
