Our Reception class is known as Ducklings. Giving the children a good start to their education is vital in enabling children to achieve their potential. Having a small class with a dedicated teacher allows the children to build strong foundations to build on in future years. We teach daily phonics, reading and maths alongside the rest of the Early Years curriculum utilising the classroom and outdoor learning space.
Watch some episodes on Numberblocks to continue to explore your child's understanding of number.
Teach Your Monster to Read is a series of games that helps your child learn to read. You can play for free on the website or download the app.
Please encourage the children to use the games on Phonics Play. Reception can revise Phase 2 and 3 and Year 1 can revise all Phase 2, 3, 4 and 5 sounds.
Purple Mash offers a range of different activities across the curriculum and provides an opportunity for the children to keep in contact via the 2Email app. All children will receive login details for their account.
