Meet the Governors

Welcome to our Governors’ section

Fen Drayton Governing Body is responsible for three areas:

  • Formulating the strategic direction of the school in partnership with the Headteacher;

  • Ensuring that the school’s budget provides best value for the children in the school;

  • Acting as a critical friend to the Headteacher and staff of the school.

It has two committees. The Curriculum and Learning committee is responsible for ensuring that the curriculum provided for the children meets their needs and that standards of learning and progress in the school remain high. The Resources and Infrastructure committee is responsible for monitoring the school budget, premises and personnel.

Please find below details of how our Governing body is structured, including the names, categories, responsibilities and terms of appointment for each Governor.

We have also provided a Register of Governor Interests for your information.

The Governing Body of Fen Drayton Primary School comprises of 12 Governors:-

  • Five Co-opted Governors - members of the local community, nominated from community organisations or by other governors
